The party will be a potluck followed by a gift exchange (rather than a Chinese auction).
Guidelines:
    *  Potlock options: main dish, salad, or dessert.  Call 801-733-4408 to let Dave or Michael Anne (Mike) Richerson know how many are coming and what food option you have in mind so that we can try to balance the meal). 
  *  Gifts  Each person who attends should provide a wrapped gift, probably in the price range of $5-10.  We will separate the gifts into two groups, one minerals related and the other non-minerals.  Each person will draw a number and select and unwrap a gift in the order of the numbers.
    *  Door Prize Drawing  I will have a few wrapped door prizes.  If anyone
else has items they would like to offer as door prizes, they would be
appreciated.
    *  Attendees  MCU members and their spouses/partners and older children who have attended meetings and been active in MCU functions.  

Please let us know as soon as possible if you will be able to attend.  Based
on previous years, this should be a lot of fun and a good opportunity for
casual end-of-the-year relaxation and conversation.  If you can think of any other fun activities that we might include, your suggestions are welcome.  Would you like to have a sales table with spectacular year-end sales items (if Jim and Gerry or others would be willing to bring a few items each) or a silent auction table?  It is your party, so we will try to accomodate your desires.
