i found some of this mineral/crystal ? here in utah i have tumbled about 12 pieces they are candy apple green (dark green)  but you can almost see through them i dont know how to cut them gem style but the cabs would be cool in a ring if some of you would like some rough pieces let me know and i will do my best to get some to you at the tuscan mineral/crystal show they were valued at 3.00 a gram but some people have more money then brains, i think anyway like i said before i dont mind sharing some of my finds also i'm sure you all have bixbyite but if you don't and want some let me know as well not a lot left but come spring i will get more if i can figure out how my wife's camera works i will try to post a pic soon , (of both minerals )thanks...8)

Are you refering to  Chalcedony (Chryoprase)? If so is it gem clear? Where did you find it? Are you in SLC? If so I might trade you some Twin Peaks Martite or Wendover Limonite for a peice. At this time it looks like I am not going to make it to Tucson this year. I have been the last two years. Some of the display cases at the convention center are amazing.

it is of gem quality.... so i was told the ones i have tumbled are not fractured they do look kinda clear not like you can see through it... there pretty green to see through so lets see what you think e-mail me for a time thats best for you

I would be more interested in knowing the location to collect some. But I might do some trading. Do you have some photo's to email. What might you be interested in for trading? Go to the site http://utahrockhounding.yuku.com/topic/483 and check out the 2nd comment to this post. It will tell you how to check out some photo's of things I collected this summer. I have lots of other things from Utah to trade also.

ok.. but we wont get there unless the weather dries the mud the road is bad and a clay type but i would be happy to show you come summer or spring it not going any where we are going to file on the two mines
