A 59-page glossy 8-1/2 X 11" paperback with excellent inset maps (not topographical), photographs of mines and minerals, attractively and professionally printed. The entries for each district (15 in all) contain descriptions of the location, production, history, geology, mineralogy and current/future operations. In addition, there is a Glossary and Appendices with descriptions of minerals, a geological time scale and a table of mineral resources.
The body of the publication will be of interest primarily to collectors and those interested in the history of mining in Utah. However, the extensive bibliography (mostly UGS publications and professional papers) provides ample opportunity for those who wish to pursue this further.
